At 18:00 the our club members meet at the new District 1 track (Nad al Sheba), and participate in a more structured training session.
These sessions are designed to include riders of all abilities! The format of the training sessions will be changing weekly depending on who shows up and are conducted by Andy McCombe.
Club members informally meet up at the Dubai Autodrome for an hour or so session. This is a more informal session and members generally coordinate via Whatsapp.
The second Friday of every month, the club goes a bit further afield and hosts a supported ride at a location such as Al Madam in Sharjah.
Other Fridays we host a ‘development’ style long ride (approx. 100km). These rides are targeted at a reasonable pace of 30km/hr with pick-up points along the route if you want to participate in a shorter distance.
These rides will be posted to Facebook for club members to sign up to. If you are looking for a faster Friday ride, there are other options hosted by Dubai cycling clubs.
Saturday Morning Coffee Ride
The Saturday morning coffee rides centre around Zad’s cafe on the Al Qudra cycle track. The exact route and pace is determined on the day based on the conditions and riders. The distance can be anywhere between 49 to 104km. We do try and keep the ride reasonably paced. With a larger group, a split is permitted half way. Coffee provided at Zad’s by the Club. (Only if you have your ERCC card with you).
Ride times for our coffee ride vary depending on the season. Times are confirmed on the Whatsapp Group.
